Having a Go

Last week and this week we are talking about recounts and how they are a way of telling about something that happened in the past. To practice our recounts we have started writing about what happened on the weekend.

While we are still working towards being able to spell correctly everyone has been 'Having a Go' as we call it in the classroom. Using what we know about THRASS and the 44 phonemes to attempt to spell the word based off of what we can hear in a word. Hear are some examples of our 'Have a Go' Writing.

It is excellent to see the children having a go at sounding out some rather long and tricky words.
