The Beginning of Term 3

What a start to Term 3 we have had! It has been amazing to see all the students jump back into school without any problems. Showing themselves to be capable and engaged learners as we start our new units of work.

This term is going to be a busy term as I am sure many of you are aware, which I am very excited about. Such as Excursions, Sports Carnivals, Author Visits, New News Topics, and many more exciting events.

This past week has seen some excellent work from the students as we began to explore Living Things in our science unit where we have talked about what makes something alive or not alive as well as what things that are alive need to survive. as part of this unit, we began growing pea seeds which some of you may have seen hanging on the glass doors of the classroom. We are very excited to see if and how the pea seeds are going to grow. Coming back this Monday found that some had already started to sprout!

We also began writing a postcard to one of our friends from the class detailing something that we did during the holidays. It was fantastic to see our writing ability increase and to see such great attempts at writing words which we do not know how to spell. Below are some examples of our writing from last week.

We are looking forward to having another fantastic week this week.
